Nehmen wir an, ein Besucher aus einer fernen Galaxie landet in den Dolomiten. Vielleicht hat er sich verirrt, vielleicht ist er aus geheimnisvollen Gründen hier. Vor seinen Augen eröffnet sich eine neue Welt.
Weiße Dünen, die im Wind zerstäuben, glitzernde Flächen aus Eiskristallen, 250 Millionen Jahre alte Felswände.
Man kann sagen, dass sein neugieriger Blick der eines wahren Künstlers ist: Wo andere flache Postkartenbilder sehen, sieht er den Keim reinster Schönheit, frei von jeglicher durch die müden Klischees der Fotografie verursachte Täuschung.
Vielleicht würde dieser ungewöhnliche Reisende mit den ihm zur Verfügung stehenden technischen Mitteln entlang der Strecke einige Bilder seiner Reise aufnehmen, um sie bei seiner Heimkehr zu zeigen: Aufnahmen, die das Gefühl des Staunens belegen, das hier jeden überwältigt.
Stefano Zardini, Pierluigi Orler und Gustav Willeit, sehr vielseitige Exponenten der Fine Art Photography und der Snow Art, sind aus der näheren Umgebung: Sie stammen jeweils aus Cortina d'Ampezzo, aus dem Fleimstal und aus Bruneck. Wir könnten sie als stolze Bewohner des "Planeten" Dolomiten bezeichnen.
Alle drei lassen sich noch immer von einer Landschaft in Erstaunen setzen, als würden sie sie zum ersten Mal sehen, und so verwandeln sie ein vertrautes Panorama in ein frisches und verwunderliches Bild.

Pierluigi Orler, Fleimstal
Das Fotografieren ist vor allem das Beobachten mit einem ausgeprägten Gefühl von Verwunderung. Der Trentiner Pierluigi Orler hat dies schon als Kind gelernt, als sein Vater ihm die erste Kamera in die Hand gab
Pierluigi Orler sieht im Schnee die formwandelnde Offenbarung des Werdens, eine kaum wahrnehmbare Entität, neuartig in ihrer Transparenz, reine Poesie.
Das Ergebnis der Metamorphose eines Elements, starr, wenn es sich niederlegt. Und eine endlos weiße Decke, die etwas verbirgt, das über den Anschein dieses kalten Ödlandes hinaus geht, Versteck spielt, sich aber dann vom Objektiv einfangen lässt und sich daraufhin in Suggestion und Kunst verwandelt.
Gustav Willeit, La Villa in Badia
Da er aus La Villa in Badia stammt, richtet Gustav Willeit seine Aufmerksam von Anfang auf die Dolomitenpanoramen. Die zwischen Vertikalität und Horizont schwebende Architektur der Alpen fasziniert ihn und er gibt sie in ungewöhnlichen und persönlichen Ausdrucksformen wieder
In den Werken von Gustav Willeit sind die Berge wie Beethovens Fünfte Sinfonie: Das plötzliche Empfinden eines Klanges von beachtlicher Intensität verursacht „geistige Erregung und die Sinnesfähigkeiten neigen dazu, diese zu wahren", wie Edmund Burke sagte.
Stefano Zardini, Cortina d’Ampezzo
In eine alte, ehrwürdige Ampezzaner Fotografenfamilie hineingeboren, verfolgt Stefano Zardini seit jeher den Wandel: als Nachfolger musste er seinen eigenen Weg finden, um Beachtung zu erlangen
Stefano Zardini spielt mit der "Verneinung der Disziplin der Vernunft", indem er die Dolomitenlandschaften in großartige, phantastische Traumebenen verwandelt. Als hätte man, trotz Bewusstsein und Vernunft, dem Unbewussten freien Lauf gelassen. Der Traum, auch nur für einen Moment in anderen, fantastischen Welten zu leben, die wir uns als bessere Welten vorstellen, fasziniert und beunruhigt uns gleichzeitig zutiefst.
