29/11/2019

While falling snowflakes paint the landscape a peaceful white, the gallery in the heart of the Dolomites Lagazuoi Expo Dolomiti presents its exhibition calendar for the upcoming season 2019-2020.

Together with Stefano Illing, creator of the Lagazuoi Expo Dolomiti and promoter of the Winning Ideas Mountain Awards (whose outstanding works will be exhibited from February to March), the following personalities will present the respective projects: Maddalena Monge, scientific journalist and one of the protagonists of the expedition PolarQuest 2018 (exposed from December to January), Denis Curti, founder and director of the Galleria Still in Milan and curator of the Lagazuoi Photo Award (exhibited from May to August) and, finally, Daniele Moretti, journalist of SkyTG24 and documentary film-maker, author of the short film "K2, un urlo dalla vetta" (Cheers from the summit). The installation K2 - consisting of the documentary and the images of the photographer Matteo Zanga - will be shown in September / October.

Stefano Illing comments: "We are ready to go and will soon open an exhibition season with much food for thought: in the midst of a world-wide unique setting, the Lagazuoi Expo Dolomiti exhibition gallery, visitors can retrace the journey of an extreme scientific expedition to the North Pole during the first months of the winter season, then explore the latest developments in our relationship with the mountains by means of design, technology, computer science and cinema, explore the Dolomites with new eyes through the lenses of the photographers and, finally, pursue a dream called K2, travelling with daring mountaineers.”
