Instagram content exhibition #lagazuoidarecord 'Mountains, what a passion'
From 24th June to 27th August
Together with the #InstagramersItalia network, the Lagazuoi EXPO Dolomiti exhibition centre
presents an absolute novelty:
an exhibition of the best of over 500 photos taken and published by Instagram users.
The result is a polyphonic narrative dedicated to the high mountains, showing them from an original point of view.
With 'Montagna che passione - Mountains, what a passion', Lagazuoi EXPO Dolomiti shows new forms of expression and storytelling. It is the first collective exhibition dedicated to the world of Instagrammers, presenting the high mountains with contemporary codes and languages.
The exhibition includes the best images of those who have participated in this initiative, launched in recent months by Lagazuoi EXPO Dolomiti and #InstagramersItalia. An open call to which numerous Instagrammers have enthusiastically responded: In recent weeks users have submitted over 500 contents, including photos, galleries, reels and stories. The best entries, showing unusual and original perspectives, were selected for the collective exhibition.
"The mountains, said Orazio Spoto, president of the Instagramers Italia community, confirm their appeal, and their ability to stimulate the imagination and creativity: we are happy to be able to document, through images, the interest of a very large community for a unique environment that has not only a touristic value but also a cultural one. For the first time an Instagram Italia exhibition has made its way to such an extreme territory. We will take the opportunity to meet our community managers, account holders with thousands of followers and community leaders from different regions at Lagazuoi EXPO Dolomiti. Together we will document this adventure and take new photos for Instagram."
The #InstagramersItalia exhibition is one of a series of dates of the exhibition centre, which over the next few months will continue to pursue its goal of revolutionising the iconographic imagery of the mountains through new visions with an extensive schedule. Thus, the Lagazuoi Photo Award - New Talents, organised in collaboration with Nikon, will also be renewed: three students from important Italian art academies and schools of photography will ascend the Lagazuoi for an artist's residency. Each of them will create a photo reportage together with a Nikon creator, which will then be exhibited in the autumn, from 2nd September to 22nd October.
Simultaneously, guests can visit the exhibition of the winning projects of the Lagazuoi Winning Ideas Mountain Awards, a competition that is now in its fourth edition. In a separate exhibition room, innovative ideas linked to the mountain world that have emerged from the creativity of companies, start-ups and associations are on display.
