Solemn Commemoration Ceremony marking a century since the First World War ended.
In the presence of the labarum of the Italian mountain troops Alpini and the Alpine Troops Command.
The Europe of today has emerged from the wreckage of the tragic events of the First World War Since then the European concept was based on the new objectives of cooperation, intended to build up a new European identity for all the participating nations.
In order to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of WW 1, the Alpine Troops Command, the Alpini Association and the Municipality of Cortina d'Ampezzo have organized a Solemn Commemoration Ceremony at the Falzarego pass on 15th July 2018 and a series of events which take place in Cortina d’Ampezzo from 4th to 20th October.
