The Lagazuoi EXPO Dolomiti pays tribute to the great photojournalist from Ampezzo
by launching a new cultural journey towards the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympics
"The pioneers' passion" is a groundbreaking and innovative photographic experiment by Stefano Zardini: starting from the family archive, he paid tribute in Pop Art style to the indomitable spirit of the Alpine communities that "invented" winter tourism and skiing at the beginning of the 20th century.
Today, these monochrome images regenerated by Stefano Zardini's skilful graphic interventions, created as an invitation to rediscover colours, energy and the craving for the future, are ready to ascend to high altitudes to once again celebrate the great photographer who, starting from the Dolomites, was able to tell universally valid stories.
The exhibition is open until 10th April 2023.
At the Lagazuoi EXPO Dolomiti, one of the highest exhibition buildings in the world, located at 2,732 metres, you can visit throughout the winter season, until March 2023, the outstanding exhibition Lagazuoi Winning Ideas Mountain Awards 2022 - The winning projects of the 3rd edition.
