Four young photographers at the summit: the Dolomites become a creative workshop
The fifth edition of the Lagazuoi Photo Award New Talents is kicking off.
Four young photographers, guided by the attentive eyes of two tutors, experience a creative immersion at the summit of Lagazuoi. An experience among the majestic peaks of the Dolomites for a series of original photographs that will be exhibited at the Lagazuoi EXPO from September 6 to October 19, 2025.
Cortina d'Ampezzo, July 15, 2025 _ The Lagazuoi Photo Award New Talents 2025, sponsored by Lagazuoi EXPO Dolomiti, is relaunched with young photographers selected by IIF Milano, CFP Bauer, and Officine Fotografiche di Roma. The four winners, selected from 35 candidates, will participate in an artist residency where they will develop original projects under the guidance of tutors Guido S. Frieri (Closer) and Nicolò Faccenda (BAW). Frieri captures authentic humanity through social photography, while Faccenda, an art historian, curates paths that highlight the connection between the artist and the territory. The new edition, created in collaboration with the Closer festivals in Bologna and BAW – Bolzano Art Weeks, focuses on the theme "Lagazuoi Here and Now: A Photographic Experience in Three Acts," inviting you to explore the mountains, people, and food as narrative elements. The works will be showcased in the group exhibition at the Lagazuoi Expo Dolomiti from September 6 to October 19, 2025, offering a fresh and contemporary perspective on life at high altitudes.
