The award for the mountains of the future

Lagazuoi Winning Ideas Mountain Awards, the Prize dedicated to the most innovative and avant-garde projects in the Italian mountain sector, will be debuting at the BIT - BORSA INTERNAZIONALE DEL TURISMO (International Tourism Exchange) trade fair in Milan, at the most important international event dedicated to the Italian tourism market.

On Tuesday, 14th February at 11.45 a.m., at the Veneto Region stand (Hall 3 C25 C31 D26 D32), the results of the first three years of the Lagazuoi Winning Ideas Mountain Awards, a curatorial project of Lagazuoi EXPO Dolomiti, will be presented. Located at 2,732 metres above sea level between Cortina d'Ampezzo and Val Badia, this is one of the highest exhibition and museum centres.

An initiative set up in 2020 committed to enhancing and spreading the perception of the mountains as a place of innovation and virtuous interaction between man and the environment. Over the first three years, we have chalked up over 34 award-winning projects, products and services, and concepts developed by companies, start-ups and individuals who promote the highlands and their exploitation through innovative, accessible and sustainable products and services.

The project achievement will be presented in detail during the BIT in Milan. The speakers are Stefano Illing, creator of the Lagazuoi EXPO Dolomiti, Antonello Marega, chairman of EPSI, the European Platform for Sport Innovation and president of CTS Fondazione Sportsystem, Andrea Macchiavelli, Professor of Economics of Tourism at the Bergamo and Milano Bicocca Universities, Massimiliano Tonelli, food journalist, Editorial Director of Artribune, Sebastiano Venneri, director of the Tourism and Territorial Innovation Sectors of Legambiente, the Italian Environmental League.
