LAGAZUOI LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHIC MARATHON

Photographic workshop with Denis Curti and Olivo Barbi
Saturday 5th September - 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

As part of the first edition of the Lagazuoi Photo Award, the Lagazuoi Expo Dolomiti at Cortina d'Ampezzo will host a photography workshop coordinated by Denis Curti, artistic director of the Casa dei Tre Oci in Venice.

LAGAZUOI LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHIC MARATHON is the title of this workshop dedicated to high-altitude landscape photography. The guest of honour is the well-known photographer Olivo Barbieri, who won – among others  - the Lagazuoi Photo Award 2020 and who is exhibiting his work Dolomites Project 2010 at the Lagazuoi Expo Dolomiti.

FOCUS OF THE WORKSHOP
The workshop begins in the morning at 10 am. with the introductory talk by Denis Curti to present a summary of the best photo productions dedicated to the landscape and the mountains (duration approx. 1 hour).

Then the participants will dedicate more than 3 hours to photography on Mt. Lagazuoi (from 11 am. to 2.30 pm.). Afterwards, everyone can present his photos to a jury made up by Denis Curti, Olivo Barbieri and Ing. Stefano Illing, creator of the exhibition complex. This jury will choose the best photo, which will be shown for a year at the entrance to the Lagazuoi EXPO Dolomiti.
 

PROGRAM

DATE: Saturday September 5, 2020

TIMES: from 10 am. to 5 pm. with lunch break

WHERE: Lagazuoi Expo Dolomiti at Cortina d'Ampezzo (the location can be reached in just 3 minutes with a panoramic cable car from the Falzarego Pass)
 

TIME SCHEDULE:
9.30 am - 10 am: meeting at the valley station at the Falzarego pass, cable car ride to the top and registration of the participants
10 am - 11 am: start of the workshop with an introduction by Denis Curti
11 pm - 2.30 pm: individual photo motif search on Mt. Lagazuoi and packed lunch (provided by the Lagazuoi Refuge)
2.30 pm - 4.00 pm: return to the Lagazuoi EXPO Dolomiti,  presentation of the pictures to the jury, which selects the winning photo
4 pm - 5 pm: visit of the exhibition Dolomites Project at the Lagazuoi EXPO Dolomiti in the presence of the photographer Olivo Barbieri
5:00 pm: end of the workshop and descent by cable car

PRIZE FOR THE WINNER: The photo of the winner will be displayed in the lobby of the Lagazuoi EXPO Dolomiti for one year

REQUIREMENTS: The workshop is aimed at professional and amateur photographers alike without restrictions

REGISTRATION FEE: € 50, reservation required, reservations are accepted up to the maximum number of participants. The fee includes the participation in the course, the cable car ride go and return from the Falzarego Pass parking lot to the Lagazuoi Expo Dolomiti, a packed lunch and a certificate of attendance signed by the lecturer. Transport costs to and from the location of the workshop, an eventual overnight stay dinner is not included in the participation fee

HOW TO REGISTER: to complete the registration, send an e-mail with your first and last name, tax number for individuals or sales tax identification number and SDI code for companies or freelancers, residential address and copy of the transfer of the registration fee of € 50.00 by September 3, 2020 at the latest to info@lagazuoiphotoaward.org

TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT: participants must bring a camera, a smartphone and any additional memory cards
